Yup! Damn Good!Honestly I was hoping against hope this wouldn't be one of those cases that you get hyped up off of trailers, and the trailers turn out to be the best part of the show. Saying I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. From this past Friday on I will be looking forward to catching
ThunderCats on
Cartoon Network. In fact, I have set up a series recording on my
DVR, just in case I come home from work late.
There are some elements of the characters and story changes I was leery about going in, but it seems that the writers of the new series put a lot of thought into this. Lion-O and
Tygra's sibling rivalry adds a nice twist to their relationship.
Cheetara adds a third corner to a blossoming love triangle. And Wily Kit and Wily Kat add a lot of charm, playfulness and intrigue. I am anxious to see how they will eventually be a part of the team.
I don't want to get too
spoilerish if you haven't seen the first episode yet but I will say that the addition of
Panthro,
Claudus and
Grune the Destroyer to the first episode was perfect.
While I tuned into the new series with feelings of nostalgia, I will continue to tune in with feeling of excitement and great hope of where this new reboot of the
ThunderCats story will lead.
