WB Looking at Chris Nolan to Helm Twilight Zone Movie?

WB apparently has a short list of directors they want to helm the next Twilight Zone movie.  At the top of that list is Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception).  The other two on that short list are Michael Bay (Tranformers, Bad Boys) and Alfanso Cuaron (Children of Men, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban).   There is also a fourth person in the mix to direct the movie.  It's none other than Rupert Wyatt who directed this years blockbuster Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  The script for the new Twilight Zone movie is said to be a self contained story written by Jason Rothenberg (Body Politic).

The last Twilight Zone movie released in 1983 and was made up of for segments, each directed by A list directors Steven Spielberg (E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark), John Landis (Animal House, Trading Places), Joe Dante (Gremlins, Innerspace), and George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet).

We'll just have to wait and see who WB chooses to direct The Twilight Zone.

Portal 2 DLC Coming October 4

The long awaited DLC that was suppose to come out this past summer (then later announced for a mid-September release) is finally hitting PSN, Steam, and XBL on October 4th and it's free! I wonder if I'll have a chance to play it because Dark Souls is releasing that same day. The DLC will include new co-op levels and a challenge mode for both single player and co-op.

Also the entire game's soundtrack is available for download and it is free as well. You can download it at Portal's official website.

Um... Iron Man He is Not...

Well, it seems Bill Shatner is at it again.  He has Shat all over Black Sabbath's Iron Man in his new album Seeking Major Tom.  I've heard clips of other songs he's decided to "Shatnerize" on The Howard Stern show and the rest of the album isn't any better.  You can watch the video below:

Microsoft to Add Comcast and Verizon to Xbox Live

Bloomberg is reporting that Microsoft is planning to offer pay TV services from Comcast and Verizon FiOS through Xbox Live.  This is being done in order to be more competitive with rival Sony's Playstation 3.  Xbox Live is a $60 a year subscription for the premium service.  They are also looking to add other services such as HBO, Crackle, and NBC's Universal's Bravo and SyFy channels.  For more info click on the link above.  It seems to be a good move for Microsoft.

Official Trailer for Last Season of Chuck

I've been a long time Chuck fan.  I am going to be sad to see it go.  Hopefully it gets picked up for more episodes (even though the trailer said it was the final season).  Either way, I'll enjoy this season as I have the last four seasons.  Here's the trailer for the fifth season of Chuck:

Justice League: Doom Official Press Release

Now we get more of an idea of what Justice League: Doom is going to be about.  Seems that Ra's Al Ghul will not be involved and a super villain team (most likely called Doom or Legion of Doom) consisting of known villains like Bane and Vandal Savage and the Royal Flush Gang will be a part of the movie.  Below is the official press release by Warner Home Video.

Prepare to die over and over again. Getting slammed into the ground over and over again, thrown around like a rag doll, and eaten alive by a freaking multi-headed dragon looks fun too!

Dead Space 3 Taking Place in a Frozen Planet

New rumors for Dead Space 3 are surfacing on the web: It seems that the next Dead Space is going to take place on a frozen planet while facing a new threat. Sounds kinda like the classic sci-fi horror flick, The Thing.

This is good.  By changing the location from a huge space station to an icy cold planet, they are keeping the series fresh. I just hope they keep the multiplayer mode out of this installment.

Justice League: Doom Voices Announced!

Warner Bros. next animated movie Justice League: Doom has it's voice actors.  And what a cast it is!

Nevermind - Never Mind. 20 Years Later.

I'm a week late, but it's better late than never.

Twenty years ago around this time in late September, an album with a picture of a baby swimming after a dollar bill went platinum.  Take a guess which one. Give up? Ok, ok, just look at the title of this post.  You got it!  This is by far the most loved album in my rock collection.  It holds so many memories dear to my heart.  I'll give you a bit of ralfsterr history...  I hated rock n' roll in general as a music genre.  I thought it was stupid and mindless.  Well that's what my "homies" said, and I was a sheep in the crowd, so I spewed out the same crap that came out of their mouths.
