Jimmy Fallon has been doing some great stuff on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Fallon does great impersonations and last night was no exception. Fallon dressed up as Jim Morrison and sung the theme to Reading Rainbow. And you know what? It was pretty hilarious and awesome and great! Loved the way he made it look like the one and only time The Doors performed on The Ed Sullivan Show. Great job Fallon!

Just a friendly reminder to all you DC/cartoon fanboys out there that the new Green Lantern Animated Series premieres tonight on Cartoon Network with a 1-hour special!
I know there has been a fair amount of negative thoughts about this upcoming series but at least give it a chance before you rip it. There was a large amount of fanboys, and bloggers out there that were ripping the new ThunderCats series based on a few promo stills. Where did that get you?
Check your local listings or check out Cartoon Network for more info.

Paranoid Game Review: Dark Souls
at
6:00 AM
By
Paranoid Droid
Demon's Souls was a nice refreshing experience from all the other games that try to be all epic and cinematic; the kind of games that try to make you care for its story rather than its gameplay. Demon's Souls did the complete opposite by focusing on the hard but rewarding gameplay. It took place in this dark medieval fantasy setting full of knights, magic, dragons, and the undead. Honestly I hated that game at first but I grew to love it over time when I started learning how to play it. It became one of my favorite games this generation. And now From Software created Dark Souls, which is a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls and it surpasses it in every way.Thursday, November 10, 2011

Starting in January, Marvel will start including download codes in ALL their Ultimate comics line so that readers can obtain a free digital copy of the book, reports Comics Alliance. The issues will come inside polybags in order to protect the free download code.
I wonder what kind of affect this will have with comic book shops in the long run.

Boogie Knight
As we reported some time last month, The Dark Knight Rises is to have a six minute prologue attached to Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol's IMAX release on December 16. Now comes word from SuperHeroHype that the MPAA has rated the prologue PG-13 for "some violence." I guess this pretty much confirms that the TDKR prologue will indeed be shown with Ghost Protocol.
Remember, the prologue will only be shown in 70mm IMAX screens and not in digital screens.

Capcom- The Michealangelos of Videogame Art
at
11:05 AM

Skuhl Leader
With every passing new video game console, the graphics, art, and animation in the games become better. Companies like Sony's Santa Monica Studios, Rocksteady Studio, and Rockstar Studio (just to name a few) have been pushing the visual envelope with every release of a new title. Playing games now has become like playing a summer blockbuster movie or a living comic book. I believe there is a healthy competition by these companies to top one another with each new game they release and us gamers are benefiting greatly from it.
Sometimes I pause games just to look at the art carefully and appreciate what I am seeing. Other times, I end up dying because I am paying too much attention to the level of detail in the background/level and in the designs of the characters. As a result, I have become a video game art book junkie. I'm building my library of art books and I can't help myself when a new one comes out. I have art books for games that I don't even own because of the admiration I have for the art.
Before I begin to heap praise on all these new companies, I must give credit where credit is due and talk about the art team that I feel started it all: CAPCOM!

Marvel Continues to Clean House
at
12:11 PM
By
Boogie Knight
Marvel sure is on a roll cleaning house as of late. Earlier, Marvel laid off several employees and now it is canceling some of it's titles. It has already canceled Iron Man 2.0 and All-Winners Squad. They even canceled a Victor Von Doom miniseries before its debut. You can now add the Destroyers miniseries to the list of canceled titles within this short time span. Destroyers was canceled before it was even solicited. Fred Van Lente, writer of Destroyers, said that it was a real "bummer" and that the first two issues had already been penciled.
I wonder what Marvel is going to do next.

Isn't it maddening when you are watching a show or a movie you haven't seen yet and there is that one person who ruins it for u by telling you what happens or gives away the big twist? Nowadays, with the internet being so prevalent in our daily lives and everyone wanting "hits" or "views" on their sites, many bloggers have been resorting to posting up story spoilers or pictures up giving away details to our beloved and highly anticipated movies.
