Things are looking bleak for Mega Man 3, but everyone saved the best for last, so let's keep the rumble going! Just to keep things exciting, the winners of the remaining rounds won't be revealed until after the final round.

Smallville's Erica Durance Goes from Lois Lane to Wonder Woman in Harry's Law

If you watched Smallville, you know that Erica Durance played Lois Lane. And in one of those episodes, Durance's character Lois Lane actually dressed up as the Amazon Princess (look to your left if you don't quite remember). Durance will now be guest-starring in the NBC David E. Kelly produced Harry's Law as a woman who thinks she is Wonder Woman. Here is how NBC describes the episode which is titeld " Gorilla of My Dreams" and airs January 11th:
And below are the pics released of Erica Durance dressed as Wonder Woman followed by a pic of the canceled before it ever aired Wonder Woman pilot (which was also coincidentally produced by David E. Kelly). Personally, I think that that Smallville Wonder Woman costume looks a lot better.

The Video Game Music Show!

While driving around for some last minute Christmas shopping, (jumping from radio station to radio station), I happened upon KSPC 88.7. To my surprise they were playing video game music-- actual 8bit video game music! If I am not mistaken it was from the NES Legend of Zelda 2 game, followed by some tunes from Mario Galaxy and other video game classics! There was even 8bit chip-tune versions of Christmas songs played. Even my chick was surprised to hear it.
I got on my iPhone to check what station it was and came up with this: KSPC 88.7 The Video Game Music Show, Friday nights from 6pm - 8pm (PST)! It is hosted by DJ SYSOP out of Claremont, California. Looks like they have been around for a while, but while driving around their signal would come in and out. Regardless, they do have online streaming available on their site: http://www.kspc.org/. They also have a rebroadcast at 3am-5am Saturday mornings. You really have no excuses to check them out if you are video game music geek. Having only gotten one chance to hear the station last Friday I am really looking forward to listening to the online stream every Friday night.
Check out their facebook page here.

Below is the international Russian version trailer for Marvel's The Avengers which shows new footage and-- according to Comic Book Movie-- it's footage that was screened at D23 earlier this year. #8BitSongOfTheDay is back and is returning to the 8Bit Mega Man Robot Master Throwdown! Last time we had Crash Man vs Magnet Man and the winner was Crash Man. That brings the score to 3-1. Round 5! Hajime!
In the Blue Corner, weighing in at 1:34, it's Flash Man!
In the Red Corner, weighing in at 1:44, it's Hard Man

I remember seeing this back in 2010 when it first came out and wondering why some of the sequences weren't used or how were they intended to be used. I especially want to know how the Batman sequence of him jumping from car to car was suppose to go. Anyways, whether or not you have seen this or not, enjoy the magic that The Dark Knight is.

What Did Everybody Get For Christmas?

Well I got some socks, a sweater, some giftcards and this:
It's a Hot Toys very limited edition Dark Knight 1:6 Scale Figure:
I am a big Batman geek and in the past I have never thought twice about taking something out of a box because I was not in it for the value of the piece. I was always into getting statues or collectibles because they looked so damn cool I had to have one. But with this particular figure... I mean it's really super nice.

This outstanding 1/6th scale Batman collectible, stands approximately 32 cm tall, featuring Hot Toys figure body with over 32 points of articulation and the complex and new The Dark Knight Batman suit.
The Dark Knight Batman 12 inches collectible figure also features:
- Alternate head with authentic likeness of Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, a new head sculpture of Bruce Wayne
- Detailed Batman Utility Belt with cell phone
- Activated Mini Mine
- Grapnel Gun
- Two small Batarangs on belt clip (removable)
- Newly developed Bat-suit with cape
- Three sets of interchangeable gloved hands, Inclusive one set of gloves hands for riding the Batpod
- Figure display base featuring THE DARK KNIGHT logo and BATMAN nameplate.

Yeah it's really nice. Super nice. It's so nice I want to take it out of the box and display it proudly above my desk. But the problem is taking it out ruins the value it has already accrued. So what do I do?

Boogie Casting: Old Man Logan
at
11:15 PM
By
Boogie Knight
What happens when the heroes have lost and the villains have all risen to power? The villains had finally bonded and decided to work together to defeat the heroes-- and they succeeded. Many heroes lost their lives and they broke the spirit of many. But no spirit was broken more so than Wolverine's. Wolverine walked away from it all, promising to never again pop his claws against anyone. As the villains took over the United States, Wolverine wandered lost in thought and in grief. Wolverine was no more. There was just Logan. Fifty years later, Logan has settled down as a family man and farmer in Hulkland (formerly Sacramento) and became a pacifist. Everything was going as well as could be expected until the day the inbred Hulk clan came by to collect rent. Not having any money to pay up, Logan took a beating instead, still refusing to fight and use his claws. Soon thereafter, Clint Barton-- the hero formerly known as Hawkeye-- visits Logan with a proposition: help him navigate the United States of Amerika on the Spider-Buggy to make a delivery a secret package and he would pay Logan handsomely for his troubles.
Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Old Man Logan is an awesome tale filled with humanity, action, and struggle. It would make a great movie, so here are my picks on what actors would portray the characters in this desolate future where it's Old Man Logan against the world.

Joss Whedon: The Avengers "Will Not Be 'Obnoxiously 3D'"
at
5:46 PM
By
Boogie Knight
I'm not a fan of 3D movies. I find it all obnoxious because it really doesn't add anything to the movie. It honestly didn't help Avatar any. I watched it twice, once in 3D and the other in regular 2D. And guess what? It sucked as equally both times. That's not true. It sucked more in 3D because I had to shell out more to wear glasses in order to watch the movie.
Regardless, Joss Whedon is letting us know that when The Avengers hit the big screen this summer, that the movie will not be "obnoxiously in 3D." He says scenes weren't shot in 3D where you had someone purposely pointing at the camera or stuff being thrown at the camera just for a cheap 3D thrill. Whedon, follow in the Chris Nolan's shoes. He didn't cave in to WB when they wanted a 3D finale for The Dark Knight Rises. But I suppose you gotta do what you gotta do to earn those extra couple of bucks.

Will We Ever See Gremlins 3 on the Big Screen?
at
2:24 PM
By
Boogie Knight
Director Joe Dante was asked about the possibility of there ever being a third installment in the Gremlins series. It has been almost 22 years since we last saw a Gremlins movie and this is what Dante had to say:
I’m constantly asked ‘why the hold up on Gremlins 3? And that’s because those films were such products of the technology at the time. The movie was more limited and created by technology. They were puppets. The storylines, then, were based around what we could do with the Gremlins. Now, of course, anything is possible but it becomes a little more difficult to hone it on what your storyline would be. First of all, I won’t be asked. Second of all, I wouldn’t bring back the original cast because it’s been too long – the kids now would be familiar with the title, and familiar with Gizmo and Stripe, but as far as the actual [live-action] characters and story, they don’t know them.. it.
I don't know about you, but I would love to see a new Gremlins movie on the big screen. But would it be as puppets like the original two movies or CGI? A lot of the fun of the originals was seeing Gizmo, Stripe, and the rest as puppets. And after the success the Muppets had on the big screen this year, we can see that CGI doesn't have to be the answer to everything. What do you think?
