The Ratchet and Clank HD Collection isn't the only collection coming to PS3. Sony also announces the God of War Saga and Infamous Collection and will be releasing along side the Ratchet and Clank Collection for the low, low price of 29.99.
Ratchet and Clank Collection Includes: Ratchet and Clank Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal
Aside from Halo 4 which is obviously the best thing Microsoft shown this year, they had nothing new to show. Microsoft relies heavily on multiplatform games than its own IP's. Once again they spent far too much time on turning the Xbox 360 into a cable box and on Kinect. I don't see a reason to own an Xbox 360 anytime soon. If this is what they're next console is going to be like next year with no new games that GAMERS would want to play then they'll be no reason for anyone to own a new console. Microsoft needs a reminder that E3 is a show for gamers.
We just got our first details of Sony's Soul Sacrifice for the Playstation Vita. Soul Sacrifice is developed by Marvelous AQL and Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune, involved with the project. Yasunori Mitsuda (Xenoblade Chronicles, Chrono Trigger) and Wataru Hokoyama (Resident Evil 5) are composing the music.
We also get a little bit of info on gameplay: To use magic you have to sacrifice objects such as trees or rocks. But to perform more powerful magic, like summoning your own monster, you have to sacrifice a body part. Soul Sacrifice is set to release this Winter. I'm totally hyped for this game.
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was announced at last night's Gametrailers TV on Spike TV. We got to see a bunch of footage of the game and interviews from the creators, SuperBot Entertainment. You can watch the episode HERE.
Gametrailers also posted a couple videos where the Gametrailers staff give their impressions of All-Stars.
Not to be confused with FromSoftware's godlike Souls series, this is a new Vita title from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. It doesn't say who's developing Soul Sacrifice. Here is the teaser site. All they have announced so far is that it's going to focus on a fantasy world, a story about magicians and co-op. Expect a full reveal on May 10th.
A ton of rumors for the next Playstation console has surfaced around the web.
The new console is codenamed "Orbis."
It will completely ditch the cell processor and will be replaced by AMD x64 CPU and AMD Southern Islands GPU, but this could change between now and the release of the "Orbis."
It will be out at the end of 2013.
"Orbis" will not offer backwards compatibility for any existing PS3 games.
It will not play any used games. New games will be locked to a single account. You have to be connected to the internet to authenticate a new game before you can start playing them.
With the lack of backwards compatibility, I have already lost interest in "Orbis." I still like to go back and play some of my old games. The part about the inability to play used games also worries me. This means I can't borrow any games from other people at all. And what about the people who can't connect to the internet? How will they be able to play any new games? If this how next gen is going to be like then I'll just skip them entirely. What do you guys think of these rumors?
